After reading this post, you realise that you fall into that category of otaku. Fat, smelly otaku.
Fret not. This post shall change you!! Instead of changing you into someone who fits into normal society, I’m going to change you into the thing you see above: Bishounen
Firstly, you have to be clear what’s a bishounen. According to Wiki, bishounen literally means “Beautiful boy”(they translated it from the Kanji). They are equivalent to half-girls half-guys, but never gay. They possess a feminine face and somehow, has a male body.
Personally, I think they are right. But I would like to throw in some of my personal point-of-views of what a bishounen should possess, other than a “beautiful face”, before claiming themselves to be bishounens. (These points are some of my personal thoughts that a bishounen should have. Following these might/will make you into one.)
1) Tall and slender.
Height should be around 170cm but never more than 185cm!! Weight should be around 55kg to 65kg.. Yes, these are the severely underweight kind of guys, but with constant training, dress-up, and a few more stuffs that’s to be included in this tutorial, these sort of guys will become the ideal bishounens.
However, if you realised that you are not in this category, fear not. For me, I personally think that as long as you are tall and slim, you fit the bill. And if you are like that guy from the post, you will have to cut the fat out. Training is the way to be.
2) Fashion
Most bishounens out there loved long sleeves shirts. It makes them look sophisticated,
classy, etc.. But most of them like wearing long-sleeved shirts because it makes them look “cool”.
Long-sleeved shirts coupled with black long tight trousers meant for wear in offices gives off a formal yet informal look to the guy. It can be helpful ya know. Throw out your sports shoes and get yourself a black leather shoes as it will add points to you. If all of the three components are there, you’re on your way to be a bishounen.
However, if you have no long-sleeve shirts, but instead, mostly COSPA shirts, do not fear. Although I do not know how COSPA shirts look like, or cost how much, but the logic behind fashion is to wear something that will make you look smart. Mix and match to get the perfect combi. I personally have a few combi to go on with my daily life, and it creates attention everytime I walk pass someone.
3) Watches
With more and more China made watches coming into Singapore, buy some Made in China silver metallic watches. Ask the shop owner to change the battery, the stripes, etc.. It shouldn’t cost much. My watched cost me S$9 when I bought it, but constant breakage at the links amount it to be S$17.
Why silver watches?
I have to be clear that when I meant watches, I meant Quartz watches. The ones with “hands” and not digital watches. But if you manage to find silver-metallic digital watches, it can work too. But Quartz watches makes you look more sophisticated and intelligent. When you look at Quartz watches, your brain process it using more steps than digital watches. First, you look. You process what the hands are stating. You know the time. Whereas digital watches give you the answer, straight in the face.
4) Hair
Style your hair. Get bottles of waxes and hair gels. A few months back when my hair is still kinda long, I remember me taking 15min just to do my hair. Waxes for the fringe, and gels for the rest of my hair.
It really is worth the time and effort to do so as it creates attention to you. Compare 2 guys with ear length hair. 1 guy does his hair properly, while the other doesn’t give a shit about his hair. If those 2 guys are going for an interview, the one who does his hair nicely will surely get the job, unless he has a lot of competitions.
5) Catwalk
Take some time off and practice the “catwalk”. If you can’t do perfect catwalks, do at least a 3/4 catwalk.
Yes, it sounds gay but it creates unwanted attention to you. And if you practiced it perfectly, you will get the manly-catwalk that lets people think “OMG!! He’s gay…But…Somehow, he isn’t either.. :/”
If you manage to get this, you are teh WINNER!!
6) Hand poses
Hand poses are important because they are the ones who tell people who you truly are. Look at how Lelouch does he hands and learn a few tricks from him.
7) Personality
Of course, most girls like it when they know that their boyfriends-to-be has a bright and cheerful personality. But, let’s face the fact that most guys are not like that.
The personality that one bishounen should possess should be the following:
1) Happy, cheerful. At times, serious.
2) Gentlemanly, and manly sometimes.
3) Likes saying sarcastic words to the female counterparts. They get high upon hearing it. =X
8 ) Spectacles
As of many otakus I have known of, most wear specs. You might wanna consider the drop on specs and go contacts. But if you think you look fugly with contacts, then I rather you choose slim specs. Frameless specs. Thin metal for the “hook-to-the-ear”.

P.S: This post was written by me, TRM. Personally, the above things are what I do daily. And I dare say, I dress better than most Singaporeans!! You may find these points useless, which I don’t really mind cos different people have different way of doing things. You have to find your.

i spend $400 on my spec and is style, so i won`t get a contact till 18.
Personality, well, i a helpful man.
Hand poses is OK.
NO Catwalk.
Hair too curly, so mine is short.
Watches is Good.
and i`m a short sleeve person.
ANyway, is too hot to wear long sleeve shirt. -
