As promised, here’s the continued post of Moyashimon: Animals and Microbes. By the way, is this getting a bit too long?
And if you haven’t read my previous posts on the “Moyashimon” series, pls feel free to go back and check them. Links are as follows:
Moyashimon: The First Day of School
Moyashimon: The People You Meet
Now that you have done that, let’s get on. Moyashimon: Animals and Microbes!

Million Dollar Question: Do you think microbes look something like this?
First up, some animals that you will see roaming in campus.
Yes, pigs, sheeps and cows are seen frequently.
While walking around campus, please give way to pigs, sheeps and cows. Why? Cos they usually travel in herds. When that happens, you will have to give way or you will anger the herds. When that happens, ho ho ho >.>…I wouldn’t like to say the consequences of angering them, cos you probably wouldn’t like it either. So..Just give way. ^_^
Furthermore, after they have gone walking past you, please wait a few moments for our campus’ Dung Scoopers to clear the remaining dung left by the herds. These energetic young scoopers work very hard to help the campus keep clean and nice smelling by doing their job, scooping dung. What a glorious job. U_U
Confessions of a Dung Scooper.
If you would like to join them in the job of keeping the campus clean and nice, feel free to contact the Dung Scoopers or ask your lecturers about it. They are most likely to help you with it.
Other animals you may see will most probably be animals that students keep in their dormitories. Yes, you read it right. Our students keep animals in their room despite knowing that they are not allowed to do so. Images gathered from our secret police have shown that students like to cosplay their animal pets. One very good example will be the one below:

Wazzup~~?
I got nothing to say except that this fellow student did a job well. He built a den for his piggy and chickens, and allowed new species of germs, viruses and what-ever-terms-there-are-out-there-for-terming-germs-and-viruses to be bred in his room. Good Job T_T.
And lastly, a pig that was not found on our campus, but near our campus. I would like you to meet “Meido Pig”. It’s a one of a kind pig that only cosplay as meidos. It’s currently working for a pub, and it stands outside of it welcoming customers.

*Snout Snout**Snout**Snout Snout Snout* (Translated into: Welcome back, my master)
Sources gathered from students who frequent the pub tells us that pictures are usually not allowed to be taken due to the fact that the cosplay pig is a very shy animal. It usually says “*Snout Snout**Snout Snout Snout**Snout Snout Snout Snout*”. Translated into: “Minai de, Hazukashii~~”.
That’s all for the animals section. Just take note of the above points mentioned to ensure a safe stay in campus. We, like you, do not want any accidents during your stay.
Next: Microbes!
Our campus currently has quite a library of microbes, but due to time constraint, we are only going to go through a few of the more “prominent” microbes you will see or hear during your stay in campus. Firstly, we have Aspergillus oryzae

Pls, if you have microscopic powers, read the words on top.
Do not let the long name frighten you. In fact, you encounter with Aspergillus Oryzae daily as it is often used in the making of products such as soy sauce, sake, miso, and Huang Jiu .
Here’s how a _______ of A. Oryzae will look like (fill in the blank contest!):

Mmm…Hungry for some A. Oryzae~?
Next microbe to be introduced will be Bacillus Halodurans.
According to Sawaki, they play S-Ken during their free time.

>.>
Well, back to B.Halodurans. Don’t they look cute? What can I say about them?.. Hm…They look like pink sperms, who play S-Ken, and…and…Ahh…I dunno..>_< Up next:

I’m referring to the yellow things near the centre worm. What is it? Erm..Help? ~~>_<~~ Lucky I didn’t take biology or anything related to microbes. It will be a straight fail for me. But one interesting thing I know about this microbe: It’s expensive. That’s what they said the the anime. And they are found of dying worms..That’s all I know about them. T_T
Oh, and the next microbe is interesting. Look what it can do:

Yes. If you were to put food at the entrance and exit of a maze, the microbe cam find it’s way from the entrance to the exit. Interested? Click here to know more. Here too.
So, it seems that many people think that microbes are stupid since they are the lowest life forms. But do not forget that it’s because of them, there’s evolution today. And many of us are thanks to these great intelligent creatures. Salute. Here’s how the anime depicts this microbe. The maze, etc..:
Oh, by the way: I realised that the text I found through Google are quite similar to the fansubs. :/
Now, let’s move on to something more “OMG!!”. As you always heard, humans have 2 sides. The good side, and, the bad side. Same with microbes. So, let’s take a look at some of them:
1) Microbes choose their preys before attacking them!
Do not mind the text. Well, typically, the microbes are choosing preys that are easily preyed as compared to preys that are harder to attack. And if you know, some of these guys are bad guys. They make you sick!! >;D So, beware.
2) When microbes gather together, they become a monster.
Sources from our students and researchers and lecturer manage to capture a rare sight whereby microbes gather together to form a monster that look like some Hayao Miyazaki’s creation. It was said to avoid them at all cost! Once you get in contact with them, your life could be at risk! So, just avoid them!!
Another sighting of a microbe monster shows that some of them have facial expression:

Once again, avoid them! Despite the “happiness” you see on their face, it’s a trap!! No, not that kind of trap, but a real trap to make you fall sick. Worst case scenario, death! And it was also reported that one of our students have the ability to control them. Yes, I think everyone has seen her before. It’s Mutto! Remember from the previous post?

Just beware not to ask her the wrong questions or else you probably won’t survive the attack she will give you. Exclusive photos given by our students let us have an insight to her power.
Ahhh…(=_=) (>.>) (>.<) ~~(>_<)~~ Did you just felt the cold sweat? After attempts to get into this prestigious school, you are encountering a life and death situation everyday. Which is more important? Your life? Your Degree? Or losing your virginity before you die?
So, if you’re more interested in microbes now that you have enrolled into Agricultural University with us, and you want to know more about this interesting organisms, feel free to know more after we sing our “End of Day” song every day. What’s that? Well, it’s something similar to National Anthems you sing in your various high schools or junior high. For our “Start of Day” song, we have “Curriculum” by Sarasa Ifu. Do remember to memorise the song by hard so you can sing it along with our senpais, lecturers and whoever is there every morning. As for the “End of Day” song, we have “Rocket” by POLYSICS. Yes, memorise it by hard too.
As mentioned earlier, after every “End of Day” song, there will be a simple talk held by the microbes themselves. They will tell you how they work, how they interact with fellow microbes, and how they live..etc.. It’s daily activities for them. And at AU, we have the honour of claiming the “talk” as “Microbe Theatre”. Here’s a poster of it:

And before we go, we shall take a rare look into how earthworms look like in person. Normally, this is the earthworm we know of:

Faceless, headless, tailless. You simply can’t tell which is the head, or which is the tail. Chop it into half and it becomes 2 earthworm (not sure if that’s true). But today~!! Just today, or just here at AU, we managed to capture a “face” of an earthworm. Please be warned that the following image you are about to see may be disturbing to some viewers.

Yes, pls go to the toilet if there’s a need. This post won’t run, so, take your time……
Ok, you’re back. ^_^ Well, sad to say, while you were at the toilet, the other half of the post ran off and it’s goodbye to them. T_T But, do not fear. More Moyashimon posts will be coming up in the span of 1 to 2 weeks!! In between, we, at Tiny Red Man, and not Agricultural University, will post other post that we thought of. Till them, it’s ta ta for now. Pls remember to bring your homework next week.
Jyaa, mata ne.
